This shady guy has lined his shop with assorted weapons, trinkets, and a few chests – including one of Shao Kahn’s Chests. Speaking with him, he’ll show you a random assortment of unique items to trade in exchange for artifacts most often found in hidden treasure chests (we’ll find out how to locate them soon enough. These rewards include 2 skins and 1 gear for each character, as well as an assortment of different Konsumables, and he’ll change out his stock pretty regularly, or every time you exit and re-enter the Krypt. Sometimes however, he may disappear entirely from his room, and you’ll have to come back later to see if he returns.

At random intervals, you may hear the sound of something rocketing down into the Courtyard. The nearby volcano has begun to spit up giant rocks that will always crash down somewhere in the Courtyard – and you can break them apart with the War Hammer to obtain random loot – which can include a small amount of currency like Koins, Hearts (5), and Soul Fragments, but also Forge Items, Konsumables, and even Augments for characters! They generally tend to fall every 4 or so minutes, which equals out to 7-10 minutes of in-game Krypt Time.

At the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International 2019, I had the chance to meet one of those men. On Friday morning, as I was walking to attend Chief John Buckman’s class on high-intensity instructing, I suddenly stopped dead in my tracks. There was Firefighter (Ret.) Kevin Shea from Fire Department of New York Rescue 1, of the now iconic “Hope on a Rope” photograph. I was awestruck. I can muster the courage to enter environments a large majority of the population would run from, but I could not muster the courage to speak with Firefighter Shea. After the class, when Chief Buckman had me even more energized to teach, I saw Kevin Shea again. I approached him and mentioned how much of an honor it was to meet the man who is a household name for firefighters. He smiled and said, “We were just doing our job.” That’s what it is all about. That’s why we are here.

You’ll find yourself in a sewer. Take a left and jump down onto the walkway, and then again onto the second walkway. You’re in a room with four red pipes in the corner.

This custom-built Charger looks the business, to say the least. It’s got enough exposed custom metalwork to say that the owner wants to take it out for some serious work—although the wheels and tires don’t exactly scream true performance. It ends up being something of a combination between Dom’s ice-focused Charger, a lowrider, and a drag racer without actually being able to settle on one dedicated purpose. At least the bolt-on fender flares keep things looking ratty enough that the owner probably also won’t worry about how many times that long, low body is going to bottom out on the way out of the driveway.

It marks the first purpose-made museum to be dedicated to espionage in the world. Much, if not all of the other precedents for spy museums tend to be fit-outs of existing buildings, including David Adjaye’s Spyscape in New York City.
